Forest Bathing with Sock Gee Gan

Discover a practice that brings people closer with nature and supports healing and wellness through natural environments. Forest therapy is inspired by the Japanese practice of Shinrin-Yoku, which translates to "forest bathing." Experience the benefits of slow-paced wandering in nature with a trained forest therapy guide on this guided journey.

We will begin with a guided visit of the new exhibition Yours to Discover: Sights/Sites of Peel Region before continuing our journey across the street in Gage Park. Rest and rejuvenate through mindful and sensory awareness and deepen your relationship with nature.

What to expect
Participants will unplug, unwind and open their senses to the natural environment. A series of invitations will be offered to guide you to interact with the land and beings in the park. There is no right or wrong way to engage with these invitations, just come be yourself.

What to wear and bring

We will provide you a square mat to sit on or you can bring a blanket of your own. It is highly recommended to bring a backpack for your possessions to keep your hands free.
