Remix the page: A creative mixed-media art workshop
Uncover hidden stories and create art that's truly your own. Join artist Vanessa Vigneswaramoorthy for a playful workshop where you'll transform text into expressive erasure poetry. Erasure poetry is a form of poetry where words are erased from existing text, like newspaper articles or novels, to create a new poem. Using text from the Archives, explore how crossing out, highlighting and reshaping words can create unexpected stories. Learn more about erasure poetry and how removing words can reveal surprising meaning. No experience necessary, just bring your curiosity and turn your newly formed poem into a one-of-a-kind mixed media artwork.
