Each of Laxmi’s performances is filled with enchanting stories, lively rhymes, and joyful songs that will transport you to magical worlds while celebrating the spirit of togetherness. Don't worry if you miss the first performance, Laxmi will host three storytelling sessions throughout the day!

Continue your cozy escape, get lost in the whimsical tales sung by balladeers from the Brampton Folk Club, including the adventures of Robin Hood put to song. Then, create your own homey jigsaw puzzle inspired by works in PAMA’s Art Gallery.

About Laxmi Balaji: Laxmi Balaji, originally from India, is a Mississauga-based storyteller whose talents have been showcased at the Toronto International Storytelling Festival where she received the 2023 Emerging Storyteller Award. Laxmi has a special affinity for Indian mythological stories and folktales, which she narrates in both English and Tamil. She believes that traditional storytelling can spark imagination and bring tranquility in today's hectic world. Laxmi is an Apprentice Teacher in the Parent-Child Mother Goose Program for parents and young children.
