Fashion illustration workshop

This Women’s History Month, join Jacqueline Halstead in a hands-on workshop and discover the African influence on the global fashion industry. We will begin with a short discussion highlighting the cultural significance of African textiles and their influence across continents and time periods. Participants will then learn the foundations of patchwork painting. Using fabric selection, colour theory and composition, you will create your own mood board while discovering how textiles communicate through pattern, symbolism and storytelling.
