Turkish Paper Marbling Workshop 

Sunday May 25, 1:30 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. 

Discover the mesmerizing world of Ebru, the traditional Turkish art of marbling, recognized by UNESCO as an intangible cultural heritage. In this workshop led by Semra Ünsal, you will briefly learn about its history and materials while experiencing its calming and creative process. The session will introduce you to techniques for creating iconic patterns such as gelgit, tarakli (combed), and bülbül yuvasi (nightingale’s nest). By the end of the workshop, you will take home your own unique artworks. 

Registration Required. $18.00 + HST General, $15.30 + HST,  PAMA Member.

About the Artist: Semra Ünsal is an artist and instructor with a deep passion for the rich tradition of Ebru. She loves sharing this unique art form with people of all ages. Through her guidance, you’ll have the opportunity to explore Ebru and discover a new appreciation for this traditional art.
