Open-Mic event with Speak Your Truth

Join PAMA and the Brampton-based Speak Your Truth organization for an evening of performance, advocacy, and amplifying youth voices. Be inspired by a curated group of local youth artists performing in mediums including spoken-word poetry and music to showcase Peel’s emerging talent.   

Free Admission. Registration with Speak Your Truth recommended but drop-ins welcome. 

About the Organization: Speak Your Truth, formerly Stay Woke, is a youth non-profit organization encouraging a culture of social awareness through creativity to amplify youth voices and build a community of innovative youth change makers. They amplify youth voices through events that intersect creativity and social issues. In the age of social media and misleading headlines, it is becoming increasingly important to empower youth in taking the first steps towards thinking critically about the world around them.
