Toy Making Workshop

Toy Making Workshops – Reuse, Recycle and Play!

May 4, 18 and June 8, 22 from 2:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Fabricate hours of fun by recreating timeless toys with recycled materials. Sundays in May, PAMA Educators will guide you in turning discarded fabric, cardboard and more into toys that have been popular for generations. Each week, create a new piece of eco-friendly amusement to take home.

Continue your fun-filled day with a visit to our new hands-on artifact station, Toys Through Time, where you'll discover iconic toys from different eras.

May 4: Make your own Jacob's ladder, a popular folk toy that creates a unique visual illusion, using recycled cardboard.

Designed for ages 5 to 12. All children must be accompanied by a parent/guardian. Any parent/guardian who wishes to create their own toy must also register as supplies are limited. Registration: $12.50 + HST General, $10.63 + HST PAMA Member

Supplies will be provided; however, participants are encouraged to bring their own recyclables to re-use. PAMA will contact participants about suggested materials prior to the program.
