Children’s Fantastical Printmaking Workshop

March 19 from 10:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. and 2 to 3:30 p.m.

Join Brampton-based artist Amye St. John for a fun and creative collagraph printmaking workshop. Using cardboard, textured materials, and ink, young artists will build and print their own imaginative landscapes. This hands-on activity connects with the exhibition Fantastic Landscapes: Beyond the Ordinary, where artworks invite viewers to dream of real and invented worlds. Be sure to bring your imagination!

  • This program is designed for ages 6 to 12.
  • An adult must accompany children.
  • One artwork per registration, any accompanying adult who wishes to create their own must also register as supplies are limited.
  • Admission required for accompanying adults and can be purchased on the day of the program at the front desk.

 

                       

About the Artist: Amye St. John is a printmaker and mother of two girls. She graduated from OCADU in 2015 with a BFA in Printmaking. Her practice has recently been mixed media and relief, but she also works in lithography, screenprint, and intaglio. Her work focuses on the everyday and plays with narratives. Amye has shown her work across the GTA, and has previously participated in inPrint events before becoming a member. She was born in Brampton, where she continues to live.
