Cyanotype Printmaking Workshop with Amye St. John

Join Brampton-based artist Amye St. John for a hands-on cyanotype printmaking workshop inspired by the exhibition PAMA Collects: Connections Between Us. Drawing from the everyday objects and personal histories featured in the show, explore how items shape our understanding of community and identity.

Amye will guide you through the basics of the cyanotype process to create unique, blue-toned prints. You’ll also be able to incorporate your own small objects that capture your curiosity into your cyanotype!

Registration information:

  • Registration required. Public: $17 +HST, Member: $14.45 +HST
  • No prior experience necessary
  •  Recommended for ages 14+
  • Please bring small, 3D objects that you'd like to incorporate in the printmaking process. 
 

About the Artist: Amye St. John is a printmaker and mother of two girls. She graduated from OCADU in 2015 with a BFA in Printmaking. Her practice has recently been mixed media and relief, but she also works in lithography, screenprint, and intaglio. Her work focuses on the everyday and plays with narratives. Amye has shown her work across the GTA, and has previously participated in inPrint events before becoming a member. She was born in Brampton, where she continues to live.
